According to the person in charge of the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Department, at the end of the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan”, the national and provincial key laboratories were widely distributed in 46 colleges and universities, 17 research institutes and 8 enterprises in Sichuan Province, with a building area of ​​more than 160,000. In square meters, the total value of equipment and equipment exceeds 1 billion yuan, which is 5.3 times and 7.7 times the end of the "10th five-year plan." It covers more than 20 fields such as modern agriculture, electronic information, mechanical engineering, materials science, biotechnology, medical science, energy technology, environmental science, and transportation technology.

Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory has more than 2,200 permanent staff, including more than 100 academic and technical leaders in the province and more than 200 doctoral supervisors; nearly 50% of the staff have senior professional and technical positions. The laboratory pays attention to the application and transformation of scientific research results. During the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan”, a total of more than 1,000 technical contracts were signed, including more than 400 technical developments, nearly 30 technology transfer, more than 100 technical consultations, and nearly 500 technical services.
