Russia encounters energy blockage Ukraine tries to build oil pipeline around Russia

The “European Energy Security Summit” was held in Ukraine and tried to establish a Russian print media that was published today bypassing Russia’s oil pipeline to Europe and described the third “European Energy Security Summit” held in Ukraine on the 23rd as an “attempt to Blocking Russia's new attempt to export energy to Europe because the summit is trying to establish a new system that bypasses Russia and connects the export of energy to countries such as the Caspian Sea, the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea.
On May 23, Moscow time, the third "European Energy Security Summit" was held in Kiev, capital of Ukraine. The countries that have come to attend this energy summit include the delegations of Poland, the Baltic States, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Slovakia, Bulgaria, the European Union and the United States. According to the media here, the main topic of this energy security summit is to discuss the acceleration of the construction of a "Odesa-Brood-Protec-Gdansk" oil pipeline. The pipeline will guarantee the bypass of Russia to European countries to transport oil from the Caspian Sea region. According to relevant experts, if all goes well, the pipeline will begin operation in late 2010 or early 2011.
As we all know, Russia is the main exporter of energy markets in Europe. According to relevant information, 50% of the natural gas and nearly one third of the EU's oil needs to be imported from Russia each year. According to relevant experts' forecasts, in the next 15 years, the EU’s demand for natural gas in Russia will increase by about 50%. However, many countries in Europe have been accusing Russia of using energy as a political tool to expand its influence. They worry that Russia will tighten its energy export valve and put pressure on energy-importing countries.
That is to say, under this big political background, the Polish government first initiated and held the first "Energy Security Summit" of the Caspian Sea, the Black Sea, and the Baltic countries one year ago. It spearheaded the Russian energy export policy and foreign policy. This time the "Energy Security Summit" in Kiev was precisely held at a critical moment when Russia's relations with the Georgian countries were tight and Russia and Ukraine were adjusting their natural gas debt problems. The time when the summit was held had clear political intent.
However, during this analysis, the key to the problem is not the oil pipeline itself, but whether the supply of oil resources for the pipeline is sufficient and whether the investment in the pipeline is economically cost-effective. Because the 5 million tons of oil provided by Azerbaijan each year alone is far from meeting the design and delivery capacity of the pipeline. To guarantee that the oil pipeline will not be lost after it is completed, it must rely on Kazakhstan to supply oil. Kazakhstan, in turn, was precisely the first country that Russia visited after Medvedev, the most important strategic partner of the Commonwealth of Independent States, was selected by Kazakhstan. It once again proved the reliability and importance of bilateral relations.
It can be concluded that although the third “European Energy Security Summit” added some “blockages” to the new Russian leaders, Russia will not panic because Russia has a lot of trump cards.
