On a surface grinder, an electromagnetic chuck table is used to hold the workpiece. The working principle of the electromagnetic chuck worktable is that when the coil passes through the direct current, the core is magnetized, and the magnetic force line is closed through the cover plate-workpiece-cover plate-sucker plate body, and the workpiece is sucked. Electromagnetic chuck table magnetic layer is made of non-magnetic materials such as lead, copper or alloy, its role is to make most of the magnetic flux through the workpiece Figure 1 principle of the electromagnetic sucker structure When grinding small parts such as keys, washers, and thin-walled sleeves, because the workpiece has a small contact area with the table, the suction force is weak, and it is easy to be accidentally ejected by the grinding force. Therefore, when clamping such workpieces, the workpiece needs to be surrounded or around Both ends are enclosed by a fence to prevent the workpiece from moving. Figure 2 clamping workpiece 2 Grinding method Figure 3 Plane grinding method 1) Lateral grinding The lateral grinding method is shown in Figure 3a. This method of grinding is a horizontal feed of the grinding head when each longitudinal stroke of the table ends. After the grinding of the first layer of metal on the surface of the workpiece is completed, the grinding wheel performs a vertical feed according to the preselected grinding depth, and then performs layer-by-layer grinding according to the above process until the entire amount of grinding is removed, so that the workpiece reaches a desired size. When rough grinding, the larger vertical feed and horizontal feed should be selected. When grinding, both of them should be selected smaller. This method is suitable for grinding wide and long workpieces. It is also suitable for grinding and grinding of the same small parts in an ordered arrangement. 2) Deep grinding The deep grinding method is shown in Figure 3b. This kind of grinding method has a small amount of longitudinal feed. The grinding wheel only makes two vertical feeds. The first vertical feed amount is equal to the total rough grinding allowance when the longitudinal travel of the work table is completed. The grinding wheel is moved laterally by a wheel width of 3/4 to 4/5 until the entire grinding surface of the workpiece is finished. The second vertical feed is equal to the grinding allowance. The grinding process is the same as the traverse grinding method. This method has fewer vertical feeds, higher productivity, and guaranteed processing quality. However, the grinding resistance is large, and it is only suitable for grinding large workpieces on a large-powered and rigid grinding bed. 3) Ladder grinding As shown in Fig. 3c, the step grinding method is to trim the grinding wheel into a step-like shape according to the size of the workpiece, so that the entire margin is abraded in one vertical feed. Each step width and depth for rough grinding should be the same, and the width of the fine grinding step should be greater than 1/2 of the wheel width, and the grinding depth is equal to the grinding allowance (0.03-0.05 mm). The amount of lateral feed during grinding should be smaller. Since the grinding amount is distributed on the wheel surfaces of each step, the abrasive grains on each wheel face are evenly distributed and the wear is even, and the grinding performance of the grinding wheel can be exerted more. However, grinding wheel dressing is more troublesome. Application is subject to certain restrictions.
