Application of Solar Insect Killer Lamps in Tea Garden Pests

With the global climate becoming warmer year by year and the unscientific use of pesticides by farmers, tea pests and diseases are serious. The difficulty of prevention and control has increased year by year, affecting the yield and quality of tea. In order to effectively control pests and diseases in tea gardens, chemical pesticides are used as little as possible in the prevention and control to increase the yield and quality of tea in Yunhe County, and to promote the sustainable development of the tea industry in Yunhe County. Yunhe County Bureau of Agriculture in Zhucun, Hekeng, and fog Xi Township has established a Tea Green Prevention and Control Experimental Demonstration Zone. In the demonstration area, the green prevention and control technology based on “agricultural prevention and control as a basis, vigorously promote physical control, biological control, and supplemented with a reasonable chemical prevention and control technology” will prevent and control tea plant diseases and pests. Through experiments and demonstrations, the economic benefits of tea farmers have been significantly improved, which has reduced the pesticide residues in tea and improved the quality of tea. It not only ensures the quality and safety of tea, but also gradually improves the ecological environment of the tea garden and promotes the tea industry to increase production and efficiency. .

Solar insecticidal light traps pests. A total of 52 solar-powered insecticidal lamps were installed in the three demonstration areas. One solar-powered insecticidal lamp was installed for every 2hm2 tea plantation. The bottom of the lamp was 1.5m above the ground, and the solar insecticidal lamp was cleaned every 10 days. Through the trapping and killing of solar insecticidal lamps, the elimination of adult pests of tea garden, tea caterpillars, tea worms, tea decay moths, teat moths and other tea plantation pests prior to spawning reduces the chance of initial infection and cuts off reinfection sources. The amount of pests in the tea plantation was significantly reduced.

Through the installation and use of solar insecticidal lamps, the number and use of pesticides in tea fields in demonstration areas have been reduced. According to survey statistics, the average number of application of pesticides has been reduced by 3 times, the use of chemical pesticides has been reduced by about 30%, and the number of tea farmers has decreased. Residues have improved the ecological environment, provided good conditions for the survival of natural enemies of tea pests, controlled the occurrence of diseases and insect pests, improved the quality of clouds and tea, and improved the market competitiveness of tea.
